Finding a mental health provider can be challenging. It is important, however to find the RIGHT fit.


Find the right fit!


Everyone's question is:  what if I invest time and financial resources into therapy and then things just go back to the way they were before?  So, today, I offer two tips that are ingredients for success.


1.  Make sure you have the right fit for a therapist.  Studies have been done that measure the effectiveness of psychotherapy and the common denominator was not the degree, license or theoretical background of the therapist, but rather, the fact that the client ​liked​ the counselor!  So, as a therapist, I BLESS you to go to someone that may be a better fit!  In the meantime, let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience and journey more customized. 


2.  Be consistent.​  Getting better is hard work!  There are obstacles, roadblocks and a million things that may distract you from continuing to participate in therapy.  Even your own discomfort can derail your consistency.  Making progress doesn't come all at once but, is the result of pressing on and doing the next right thing with kindness.
